Monarch Education are a recruitment agency supporting schools with their long term and permanent staffing appointments. We are currently supporting a number of schools in the Walsall area.

Kitchen Assistant’s play a vital role in a school’s daily operation by ensuring student receive nutritious meals.

The successful candidate will working alongside chefs to cook, prepare and serve meals, promoting health eating habits. The ideal candidate will have clear attention to detail when cleaning, cooking and handling food, with the ability to work as part of a team and manage time effectively to ensure meals are prepared to be served on schedule.

Kitchen Assistant’s main responsibilities.

  • Cleaning kitchen equipment and facilities ( washing dishes, sweeping/mopping up floors)
  • Maintaining a clean and hygienic environment that is safe for food and preparation.
  • Preparing food by cutting up vegetables and fruit with measuring ingredients.
  • Cooking and serving meals to students.
  • Following food safety regulations by monitoring storage temperatures.
  • Being aware of different dietary needs for different students to provide suitable meals.
