Monarch Education are working with a SEMH School in the Solihull area, who are looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work alongside pupils with a range of behavioural challenges and SEN across Key Stage 1.

This School requires an SEN Teaching Assistant who has a background in SEN Support to start from September until the end of the Academic Year 2022 on a long-term basis. The ideal candidate will work alongside the Class Teacher to manage any difficulties that may arise for both yourselves and the pupils through stages of development.

The ideal candidate for this role will hold / be confident in the following:

  • Experienced in a SEMH / SEN Setting
  • Promoting the wellbeing of the pupils - helping them to remain calm in stressful situations
  • Adapt to a range of learning styles based on the needs and preferences of the children
  • Ability to work with a combination of pupils and adapt to each of their individual needs
  • Have up to date Team Teach Training (preferable - not essential)
  • Able to provide an environment of inclusion for all pupils
  • Provide support to the children with their learning, physical or behavioural difficulties
  • Hold a friendly and positive approach to your work ethic

Ideally you would hold a Level 3 within the Education or Childcare setting; however we will also accept candidates with extensive experience in the SEN / SEMH setting.
