CARETAKER

Location: Walsall

Hours: 08:00 – 16:00

Salary/daily rate: £12.82/ £14.88 ph

Monarch Education are a recruitment agency supporting schools with their long term and permanent staffing appointments. We are currently supporting a several schools in the Walsall area that are seeking an experienced Caretaker.

Caretakers play vital role in the maintenance and security of the school grounds.

The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day maintenance in a school environment, by understanding the building and its requirements, providing cleaning, gardening, building maintenance and support across the site.

Caretaker’s main responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Carrying out basic repairs
  • Keeping on top of health and safety around the school.
  • Maintaining security and access to the premises.
  • Effective time keeping executing all tasks for the day.
  • Manage heating, lighting, and alarms systems to ensure they work correctly.
  • Cleaning and supervising cleaners.
