SEN Behaviour Mentor
Monarch Education are working on behalf of one our client Primary schools in Weoley Castle, Birmingham. The school are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to provide additional support to pupils with challenging behaviour and of lower ability.
You will be working with a year 5 pupil who exhibits challenging behaviour and requires support with their learning particularly in Maths. You will be delivering Maths interventions and providing 1:1 support throughout the day.
The ideal candidate will need to be adaptable to changing scenarios as the children's' behaviour can be quite unpredictable as well as finding the correct strategy to de-escalate situations. We are looking for someone who is creative and who can deliver engaging activities so pupils stay involved in the lesson.
This is a full-time position to start September 2020 until December 2020 with the potential to extend should the school require the continued support.
